Q music magazine is printed monthly in the UK. The first published Q magazine was in 1986 by a company called Bauer Verlagsgruppe, which is a large german publishing company situated in Hamburg. The editor of the magazine is Paul Rees former editor of the magazine Kerrang.
Q magazine has a website which is www.qthemusic.com, so the readers can also become interactive with the magazine. There is also a Q television show, which is shown in the UK and Q also holds a yearly ceremony called the Q awards. Another thing Q has to keep the audience interactive is have a radio station called Q Radio.
The magazine has a something called "The Spine Line" which is for the readers which will try to work out and read before the magazines to tell them what is inside the magazine before actually reading it.
The magazine front cover is quite bold and uses three main colours, red, black and white. This is done in most of the front covers to make it consecutive.
The magazine has an extensive review section including; new releases of music, music compilations, film and live concert reviews and also radio and television reviews. Even though the main focus in most magazines produced including the one opposite is an interview with a popular music artist it still includes other information such as offers, quizzes and then other smaller interviews with groups.
With the magazine there is often a promotional offer, with the one opposite there is an offer of an other magazine for women showing that the target audience isn't just males but is females as well. This helps tell us that the target audience is for both genders.
Q is widely read by a huge vast audience of different styles, it can be read by both genders and a huge arrange of ages.
